How the prompt is written for Midjourney

The pipeline never captions your image straight into a prompt. A vision pass first returns structured observations — subject and pose, scene layers, framing, camera, lighting, palette, materials, style, and the exact text that is readable — and a second pass reviews the draft against your actual image before you see it.

For Midjourney, the compile step writes compact descriptive clauses and puts any useful Midjourney parameters at the end. It is explicitly told never to invent an aspect ratio that cannot be inferred from the image, so a parameter only appears when the framing supports it.

Anything the first pass could not resolve is listed as an uncertainty, and the prompt is instructed not to over-specify those details rather than guessing them.

What a Midjourney result contains

Every result gives you all of the following, editable and copyable:

  • A primary prompt written for Midjourney.
  • An alternate wording that stays faithful to the same image.
  • A negative prompt, left empty for targets that do not benefit from one — often the case for Midjourney.
  • A structured breakdown of subject, environment, composition, camera, lighting, palette, materials, style, mood, visible text, and any parameters used.
  • A quality report scoring subject, composition, lighting and colour, style and medium, text handling, and model fit.

If the weighted score falls below 85 out of 100, the draft goes through one revision round when processing time allows. This AI score assesses the prompt; it is not a measured recreation accuracy.

Faithful or Balanced

Faithful mode prioritises literal recreation of the visible image and will not embellish the scene. Balanced mode keeps the subject and composition while allowing restrained polish in the wording. Both run the same review pass against your image.

Worked example: studio product photo

Target model: Midjourney

A matte black insulated water bottle standing on a pale stone pedestal. Soft studio light from the left, light gray seamless background, gentle shadow to the right. Centered, eye-level product shot.

Primary prompt

Matte black insulated water bottle on a pale stone pedestal, centered eye-level product shot, soft studio lighting from the left, gentle shadow falling right, light gray seamless background, subtle metallic rim highlight, minimalist commercial photography, clean reflections --ar 4:5 --style raw

Compact descriptive clauses lead with the subject; the aspect ratio matches the portrait product framing, and no lighting or material claims go beyond what the photo shows.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Image analysis is free, with no account or credits. Repeat analyses are welcome, subject to fair-use request limits and temporary service capacity. See free access.

Will the prompt include Midjourney parameters?

Only when they are justified. Parameters sit at the end of the prompt, and the compile step is instructed never to invent an aspect ratio that your image does not support.

Do I get a negative prompt for Midjourney?

Sometimes. The negative prompt field is filled only where the target model benefits from one, so for Midjourney it is often empty and is labelled as not needed rather than padded with filler exclusions.

Are my images stored?

No. Your browser resizes the image and strips file metadata before upload, the prepared image is analysed in memory for the duration of the request, and this site does not save it.

Other target models

The same pipeline compiles for a portable universal format as well as the other image models. Each page preselects its own target.
